Derived from close collaboration with the Tuscan Surgical Centre in Arezzo, SiMews takes measurements automatically (without the presence of the health worker) and calculates the N.E.W.S. index in real time and then transmits it to the monitors in the nurse stations, providing alarms if the parameters are altered.
Using SiMews significantly increases the quality of care received by the patient and therefore the safety and is extremely useful when planning and assigning human resources.
The small main unit is applied directly to the blood pressure measurement cuff. This part measures the systolic and diastolic pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation through a pulse oximeter worn on the index finger and allows the state of consciousness to be measured through a small colour screen and three buttons. This unit checks and powers the chest unit, and is fitted with the only rechargeable battery of the whole system. It can be worn and reconnected before each measurement, or worn permanently on the arm.
SiMews is an integrated electronic system based on the latest and most powerful microprocessors found on the market. The modern top level sensors allow for optimal accuracy and repeatability of the measurements. The advanced technology used for both production and testing (robotic assembly, "X-ray" inspection, certified instruments, etc.) guarantee excellent performance and durability.
The modern and appealing design and extraordinary compactness make it particularly user-friendly.
SiMews can switch on, measure the vital parameters, calculate the N.E.W.S. and switch off autonomously according to times set upon admission.
The taking of the measurements is indicated by SiMews with sound signals and/or vibration. This allows the patient to wear any previously removed parts and wait for the end of the measurements.
The results of the measurements are sent to the monitors of the common PCs in the nurse station through a secure and exclusive radio channel.
Its autonomy ranges between five and eight days depending on the number of daily measurements. Up to 36 measurements are guaranteed without having to recharge the device.
Within a few minutes the results will be available on the LAN of the facility to be viewed, interpreted, saved, etc.
SiMews is fitted with an internal memory that can save up to 32 measurements.
